The principle service Scienceposters offers is the hassle free design and printing of
posters for scientific conferences and meetings. We have recently been incorporated
and approved by several distinguished Societies, including The British Thoracic
Society, The Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland and The Royal
College of Nursing as an optional service for delegates and are working with societies
to provide a “send to meeting” service which saves P&P costs for delegates
Key points of the services are:
Quick turnaround: (we aim to get the first draft to you within 24hrs), and the rate-limiting factor is usually the speed
at which you can approve/check the pdf drafts. We do not believe in charging extra for a rapid turnaround - if you need
it quickly, we do our best to help. Of course at busy times this is not always possible so please call to check prior to
sending your poster for design
Professional design: Posters are designed using desktop publishing software which allows for better colour details in
the final print (as opposed to Powerpoint which can produce poor quality prints). We will also re-draw any figures
supplied that are not in our opinion good enough for the poster and will recolour and edit the thickness' of lines in
graphs and figures to ensure they print clearly. We also have high resolution versions of logos of most Universities and
all NHS Trusts on file.
Photo-quality printing: All our design and print posters are now printed on our premium silk fabric material as
standard. The fabric is foldable and is supplied in an A4 sized box with velcro tabs.
Finally - until the first draft of the poster* has been examined and commented on, clients are under no obligation to
pay for the service - so if you are not happy with the initial quality of the poster design, there is no charge. We are
confident that once you have tried the service, you won't go back to using Powerpoint!
Guidelines for submitting your poster for design
For us to design your poster, simply email your poster content in a Word or Powerpoint file, together with the poster
board size, date required, and any special preferences (e.g. colour scheme) and we will design your poster and send
you a pdf draft for you to proof. You do not need to do any layout /design work - we will do all this for you. If you
include your mobile number we will text you when your draft is emailed to facilitate speed of approval.
The content you send us should be as "final" as possible - excessive changes post-first draft may incur an extra charge
When you receive your pdf draft, you simply advise of any changes by return email. The poster will be amended to
incorporate these changes, and an updated pdf draft is resent. This continues until you approve the pdf for printing.
Once approved, the poster is printed on 210gsm photo gloss paper at 1200dpi (photo quality) and is sent to you.
Our standard poster size is A0, but we can make posters any size up to 0.85m wide and as long as you require.
If you have any corporate style to incorporate or just like a particular colour, let us know and we’ll do the rest.
We have high resolution files of most university and NHS logos on file.
